The 3rd Productive Truancy from Alexander Innovation Zone took place with great success, where students of the 3rd grade from the Science and Health Orientation Groups of the 1st High School of Kilkis visited on 13 December 2022 BETA CAE Systems in K. Scholari, a company that is part of a group with offices in 10 countries with 430 employees. It specializes in the development of high-tech applications and mainly software products related to computer-aided engineering (CAE).

The students and teachers of the school were welcomed to the premises of BETA by Mr. Nikos Trakatelis, Mechanical Engineer, who, through an excellent presentation, talked to the students about the importance of knowledge, the science of engineering, the need that brought simulation to the forefront and the path of a product from the conception of the idea to production. The students had the opportunity to learn about the company’s journey and how it has been developed through the years from a professor and a group of students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki to the companyit is today. “Life takes courage and daring”, noted Mr. Trakatelis and noted the importance of cooperation as a skill both at work and life. “Set goals and receive stimuli to lead you to the right choices,” he advised the students.

Then the two executives of the company, Mrs Katerina Georgiadou and Mr Savvas Kelidis, talked about their professional experience and personal journey and answered questions about their daily life at their workplace, what they like and what is important to them.

At the end of the visit, the students experienced a highly innovative and modern working environment and had lunch with the employees in the company’s restaurant.
