Alexander Innovation Zone participates as a Lead Partner in the project “Intelligent Cross-Border Accelerator for Innovative ICT-enabled start-ups”/ INTERREG IPA CBC PROGRAM “Greece the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia 2014-2020” with the following partners: South East European Research Center (SEERC), Technopolis Thessaloniki SA, the University of Information Science and Technology “St. Paul the Apostle”Ohrid (UIST), the Association National Center for Development of Innovation and Entrepreneurial Learning Skopje (NCDIEL) and the Youth Entrepreneurial Service Foundation (YES).

The iCBA project aims to help create a smart Cross-Border Accelerator for ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) businesses in the cross-border area of Greece-Northern Macedonia.
Business training and mentoring to help people from across the border create their own startups through dedicated workshops and webinars which can enable them to start their own businesses or find employment in existing businesses more easily.
Authorities, stakeholders and investors from across the cross-border area. All participants and the general public throughout the cross-border area are also expected to benefit, as new innovative startups can help strengthen the problematic economy of the area (Thessaloniki, Kilkis, Edessa, Florina, Pella and Vardar, Pelagonia, Southeast and Southwest).

11 trilingual specialized training courses on topics from developing business ideas to attracting investors, including online seminars that have been recorded for future reference.
Training of 180 people in the 7 largest cross-border cities on the creation of new businesses from the development of ideas as well as financing and market aspects for business development.
Presentation of 15-20 investment ideas in order to attract funding presented in an event with the participation of VCs and international investors.
