Project Title:
"Establishment of a Carbon Footprint Office in the Region of Eastern Macedonia & Thrace"

Alexander Innovation Zone participates in the initiative of the Region of Eastern Macedonia & Thrace for the establishment of a “Carbon Footprint Office”, in collaboration with the InterBalkan Environment Center – Green Technology & Innovation Hub (i-BEC).
The Carbon Footprint Office will contribute to achieving the Region’s environmental, climate and economic objectives by encouraging sustainable development and sustainable entrepreneurship.

The project is funded by the Region of Eastern Macedonia & Thrace.

The Role of the Alexander Innovation Zone

Η Alexander Innovation Zone S.A. undertakes to connect the practices applied in carbon farming with methodologies for assessing economic viability, in order to highlight the long-term character and contribution to achieving the climate targets for 2030-2050.

Project Actions

The overall project and its individual activities are based on four (4) factors:

  • Establishment of the Carbon Office infrastructure with specific rules, procedures and agreements as the structural foundation for stakeholder interaction
  • Promotion of interaction and collaboration according to the maturity level of each stakeholder
  • Value creation within the quadruple helix: academic value, business value, social value and governance value
  • Training and learning of innovative solutions
