Elevate Greece is an initiative of the Hellenic Government, which aims to map the start-ups and support their development, with the long-term goal of creating a strong innovation ecosystem.
Apart from the management and operation of the Registry of Start-ups, its goal is to strengthen networking of start-ups with the business community and Greek industry, extroversion of these businesses, monitoring of their progress based on key metrics and creating a database for matching skilled jobs in start-ups.
The initiative starts with the digital portal through which Greek start-ups can apply for official certification by the competent authority of the Ministry of Development and Investment and the Secretariat General for Research and Innovation (GGEI).
As the official digital portal for start-ups, Elevate Greece aims to strengthen, develop and promote the Greek innovation ecosystem.
The Alexander Innovation Zone (AIZ) operates as a contact point (help desk) of Elevate Greece at its premises in order to assist start-ups based in Northern Greece to apply for official certification by the Secretariat General for Research and Innovation (GSRIC) and to participate actively in the joint Actions & Events co-organized in the future by both Organizations.
The main objective of this cooperation between Elevate Greece and the Alexander Innovation Zone is to enhance the synergies and the development of collaborative actions for strengthening the innovation ecosystem and start-up entrepreneurship in Northern Greece.
