At the Alexander Innovation Zone, the Greek AI Accelerator Program was launched, marking the signing of an MoU by Takis Theodorikakos, Minister of Development, Panagiotis Karampinis, Managing Director of Endeavor Greece and OpenAI, to support a new wave of local founders building with AI.

The cooperation is strategic in its approach and focuses on two pillars:
- Education – pilot programs for the safe and educational use of artificial intelligence tools in the classroom.
- Startups – creation of the Greek AI Accelerator in collaboration with Endeavor Greece, which will offer access to OpenAI technology, international mentors, and funding networks for Greek startups.
The Minister emphasized that Greece was selected as one of the first seven EU countries to host an AI Factory, highlighting the country as a hub of innovation in Southeast Europe. He also highlighted the importance of CERTH and ThessIntec for the technological development of Thessaloniki and the Ministry’s commitment to their completion.

The initiative opens up new opportunities for Greek youth and those returning from abroad, boosting competitiveness, productivity, and innovation in the country, within the framework of the new productive model based on innovation, extroversion, and the reduction of inequalities.
