Students pop it “Productive”

Alexander Innovation Zone implements with great success since 2017 the approved by the Ministry of Education and Religions educational programme titled “Productive Truancy“, the object of which is the visit of students (General and Vocational High Schools) of Central Macedonia in innovative companies of Northern Greece.

To date, AIZ has implemented more than 75 actions of the “Productive Truancy” programme, where more than 2365 students met 39 innovative companies of Northern Greece.

2025-2026

For the 2025-2026 school year, eighteen (18) program activities were successfully carried out between November 2025 and April 2026. Specifically, the following participated:

  • 500 beneficiary students
  • 20 schools from the Regional Directorate of Primary & Secondary Education of Central Macedonia:
  • 16 innovative companies:

2024-2025

For the 2024-2025 school year, ten (10) program activities were successfully carried out between November 2024 and April 2025. Specifically, the following participated:

2023-2024

For the 2023-2024 school year, ten (10) program activities were successfully carried out between November 2023 and April 2024. Specifically, the following participated:

2022-2023

For the 2022-2023 school year, eight (8) program activities were successfully carried out between November 2022 and April 2023. Specifically, the following participated:

    • 2nd EPAL - EK Evosmou (Laboratory Center)
    • 1st GEL of Kilkis

    • 1st EPAL Ampelokipon - 3 specializations (Nursing Assistants, Electrical Systems & Networks Technicians, IT)

2021-2022

"Productive Truancy" was implemented following the lifting of restrictions on educational visits due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Three (3) program activities took place starting April 2022 at AZK's facilities, helping to reduce the risk of exposing school staff and students, as well as company personnel, to the virus. Specifically, the following participated:

  • 85 beneficiary students
  • 10 participating teachers
  • 3 schools from the Regional Directorate of Primary & Secondary Education of Central Macedonia and Cyprus:
    • Regional Agricultural, Technical and Vocational Education and Training School of Ammochostos/Avgorou
    • 1st GEL of Kilkis, Directorate of Secondary Education of Kilkis
    • 1st EPAL Ampelokipon, Directorate of Secondary Education of Western Thessaloniki
  • 3 innovative companies:

2020-2021

"Productive Truancy" was implemented strictly online due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Eight (8) program activities were successfully carried out starting February 2021, although its approval was delayed due to the pandemic and the suspension of in-person operation of school units. Specifically, the following participated:
